Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar (born 13 February 1989) is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu & Kashmir.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Meet Parvez Rasool, Jammu and Kashmir's first player in Team India )〕 He is a right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler. Rasool is the captain of Jammu & Kashmir team and a regular member of the India A team. He was bought for by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction.〔http://www.greaterkashmir.com/ShowStoryLatest.asp?NewsID=4793〕 Rasool was the first cricketer from Jammu & Kashmir to have played in the IPL. He got his call-up for the national team in 2013 for the Zimbabwe tour. Rasool finally represented national team against Bangladesh on 15 June 2014 at Mirpur ==Personal life and early career== Rasool is from Ferozi Shah Mohalla Bijbehara in the Anantnag district of Kashmir. His coaches there were Abdul Qayoom who has played a good level Ranji cricket. Before playing junior cricket for Jammu and Kashmir, Rasool learnt the game from Qayoom and his own father, Ghulam Rasool, and brother, Asif Rasool, both have played competitive cricket. During 2009 CLT20, Rasool was detained by the police in Bangalore in connection with a suspected presence of traces of explosives in his bag. He objected to the checking of his bag by sniffer dogs at his hotel. After questioning, the police learnt that his resistance was only due to his Quran and a prayer mat in the bag. Rasool had come to Bangalore as a part of the Jammu & Kashmir Under-22 team playing in the CK Nayudu Trophy, and was staying at the KSCA's residential complex which was a few yards away from the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
